Express Entry

 Express Entry, which is introduced in 2015 by government of Canada currently manages the applications for 3 popular Canadian Immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Class , Federal Skilled Trades Class , and Canadian Experience Class. The candidates have to create and Express entry profile and those who are eligible for one of the above 3 programs are entered in to a pool of candidates and they are awarded a  ranking score called Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Later, the candidates receives Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the government on a priority basis of their CRS scores.

The government issues ITA‘s for express entry candidates almost every month and more than 86,000 ITA’s were issued in the year of 2017 alone. Those who have received the ITA’s can apply for a permanent resident visa along with their supporting documents like Educational documents, Language test results, Police Clearance certificates, Medical exam results and other personal documents.

Quebec Skilled Worker Program

Quebec is one of the 10 provinces of Canada and the province administers its on Immigration Programs. Quebec Immigration remains the only program in Canada where skilled worker applicants are processed on a first come first served basis. The skilled workers/professionals who wish to apply for Quebec Skilled Worker Program, must qualify in a point based system and the points needed for a single applicant and an applicant with an accompanying spouse are different. The applicants are awarded points for their area of training, age, education, experience etc. Even though the proficiency in English language will give you additional points, the language test, IELTS is not mandatory. Those who have selected by the Quebec Government will receive a Quebec Selection Certificate (Certificat de sélection du Québec, CSQ) and after that they can directly apply to the Canadian Government for a Permanent Resident visa.
